The Jersey Hospice Million Pound Lottery draw is in less than eight weeks’ time, earlier than it normally is, and is the charity’s biggest annual fundraiser.
6,000 tickets went on sale in April and most of them were snapped up by syndicates, pooling their money in the hope of winning the big one or one of the other prizes of either £100,000; £75,000; £50,000; £25,000 or £10,000.
Three friends are already celebrating having won an extra £500 cash prize for getting in quick and buying their tickets as a syndicate within the first two weeks of them going on sale. They’ve used some of their winnings for another chance of a windfall.
Jersey Hospice Care Chief Executive Steve Harvey said: “We always get requests from people wanting to buy tickets after we’ve sold out. We have an earlier draw this year so want to remind islanders that there isn’t that long left to get a ticket if you want to take part in the Million Pound Lottery.
“We’ll be selling tickets in more places for the next few weeks to make it as easy as possible to buy them, so please support us and spread the word to family, friends and colleagues. We are enormously grateful to our super team of lottery volunteers who sell tickets for the Million Pound Lottery and give so freely of their time.”
Tickets are £300 and are available from NatWest branches in Bath Street and Library Place, from Jersey Hospice Care and from feelunique at Au Caprice.
The lucky numbers will be drawn on Friday 8 August at the Grand Jersey.
