Stuart Parker will be taking to the court this afternoon, having been given a wildcard for the main draw of the men’s doubles.

Though the 23-year-old was beaten in his singles qualifying match last week to Israel’s Dudi Sela, Parker and his tennis partner, James Ward, will today be facing off against another UK pairing: Dominic Inglot and Luke Bainbridge.

Mr Parker is currently the the 17th-ranked British player in the ATP standings, and 570th overall in their singles list. 

It follows his announcement last year of his ambition to become a ‘Top 100 tennis player’, having already racked up an impressive string of achievements, including winning both the singles and doubles titles at the Gibraltar Island Games.
