A nine-year-old islander has been recognised as one of the UK’s most promising young achievers after being named a ‘Wonderkid’ at a national awards ceremony.
The Inspire Awards 2025 took place at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, and saw 23 students honoured – including Victora College Prep student Eivaan Lamba.
The event was described as having a “palpable buzz”, with families and educators of young achievers gathered to celebrate the UK’s rising stars.
Hosted by the British Youth International College, the event brought together entrepreneurs, educators, dignitaries, and community leaders.
Eivaan won in the all-rounder category – dubbed the ‘Wonderkid’. The winners ranged from aged six all the way up to established leaders in business and finance.
British Youth International College founder Dr Rashmi Mantri said: “Eviaan has strong intuitive abilities – a rare and powerful gift nurtured further through The Art of Living’s Intuition Process in London.
“He now uses this skill with remarkable focus, speed, and clarity, making it a true treasure for life.
“There was a real buzz on the night – pride, joy, and celebration filled the chamber.
“Our young winners have shown talent, perseverance, and creativity beyond their years, while our business leaders demonstrated vision and innovation that inspire future generations.
“Together, they represent the very best of what Scotland, and the UK, has to offer.”
Eivaan’s parents added: “I am elated about Eivaan’s success at the INSPIRE Awards in Scottish Parliament and I hope that the recognition will open more opportunities for him.”
