Emergency services were called out to the blaze in a field on Rue des Charrières in St Martin at around 10:00.
Police, Ambulance and Jersey Fire and Rescue all headed to the area near St Catherine’s Breakwater.
Nearby roads were closed while the operation was underway.

A spokesperson for the States of Jersey Police confirmed that the fire was dealt with.
They said that no one – including the tractor’s driver – was injured.
The roads reopened several hours later.
