More than 24,000 people are expected to travel in and out of Jersey by air and sea over the Easter bank holiday weekend, according to Ports of Jersey – which has set up an Easter-themed activity at the airport to keep young travellers occupied.
Between Friday and Monday, around 18,000 passengers are due to pass through Jersey Airport, while nearly 6,000 ferry passengers are set to travel between the island, France, and the UK.
Ports of Jersey is advising all passengers to allow extra time for their journey, as the long weekend is expected to be especially busy.

Travellers using the airport are being asked to arrive at least two hours before departure for most flights, and 90 minutes for Blue Islands flights.
To help keep children entertained at the airport, Ports of Jersey has launched an Easter-themed activity in the family area.
Children are invited to take part in a ‘Puffin Pals’ egg hunt by picking up a postcard and matching the missing Easter eggs to the right characters.
The airport has also issued reminders on how to prepare for security checks, including removing electronic items and liquids from hand luggage, emptying pockets, and taking off outer clothing layers such as belts and some types of footwear.
Passengers requiring special assistance should contact their airline before travelling, and all travellers are urged to check specific baggage allowances with their airline in advance.
Flight arrivals and departures can be tracked on the Ports of Jersey website.
