It’s the Joint Services Open Day at Rouge Bouillon today – a chance for Islanders to see police, firefighters and paramedics in action and get a taste of life behind the front-line.

You can also see what a police cells looks like and get a tour of the custody suite and police control room.

Inspector Mark Coxshall said: “The Joint Emergency Services Open Day is a great opportunity to allow the public access behind the scenes in order to better understand the work of the Emergency Services.

“The day gives an opportunity to demonstrate a number of operational activities including what we do at a road traffic collision, how to deal with a fire and then see a display from the police dogs which is always a winner with young people.

“Keeping safe online and staying safe around the Island roads will also be available. We want the public to come and enjoy a fun day and would like to see as many people as possible.”

The action starts at 11am and you can park at B&Q and catch the shuttle bus to Rouge Bouillon.
