A spokesperson for the company has confirmed it is a permanent closure, adding “I’m so sorry for the inconvenience caused by the closure of the Guernsey store”.

She explained that “the reason for the closure is that JOJO will be migrating online eventually. Stores across the country have been closed, however, you can certainly make JOJO purchases online and return them to any Next store.”

The company has yet to confirm how many job losses will be felt at the local shop.
