Mr Mahy is a trained naval architect, project manager and chartered engineer.
He has been involved in yachting for around 20 years, for the last five of those arranging for superyachts to make use of the facilities and VAT free fuel that Guernsey can offer.
As well as continuing to offer similar services in fuelling and port agency in the future, in his business development role Ben will be promoting the services of Bachmann in corporate ownership of yachts and aircraft, crew employment and payroll, port services.
He will also develop a new direction in assisting yachts with support in technical services such as refits, shipyard liaison and planning. He will also lead the team in the supply of ISM and mini ISM systems.

The Group which has been operating in the marine sector since 1974.
It currently corporately owns a fleet of more than 50 superyachts, manages and employs the crew of around 15,000 mariners working across a variety of yachts, cruise ships, ferries and all other types of commercial shipping.
The Group also corporately owns a variety of business jets.
A division of the Group, Bachmann Ports Limited, also manages the operation of London’s premier port, Tilbury.
