The utility says 7,115 customers are already signed up for e-billing, which means at least 28,460 fewer sheets of paper are used per year but it wants to cut back on the preventable waste it generates even further.

Prizes are being offered to customers with e-billing including a TV, gift vouchers, and Woodies’ coffees.

Steven Parks, Head of Customer Experience at Guernsey Electricity, said customers can switch online HERE at any time.

“We have over 30,000 local customers who could move across to paperless billing and are hoping the campaign encourages many of those to make the change.

“E-billing brings an environmental benefit as it reduces the amount of ink and paper we use plus lowers our carbon footprint. The move is easy and customers can receive their statements instantly.”
