The 5G exhibition truck will be on Albert Pier on Tuesday 25 September and will be open to the public from 15:00 to 17:00.
“Everybody is talking about 5G technology and what it could mean for our digital futures, but not many people have had the opportunity to experience it so we’re excited to bring Huawei’s 5G exhibition truck to the island to enable local businesses, the government, customers and the public to get a better understanding of what the technology can do,” Justin Bellinger, Sure’s Chief Digital Officer, said.
“The event will mark the start of Sure’s 5G engagement process so we’ll be talking to attendees and getting their feedback on what they learn at the exhibition so we can start to build a picture of Guernsey’s 5G requirements.“
5G itself is set to replace 4G, and boost the island’s digital connectivity. People on Guernsey in the digital industry will soon have access to trial technology to begin development of products using it.
