A new finance business says Guernsey is the “right home” for it, because of the island’s reputation, talent base and regulatory framework.
Barrule Partners Group will provide independent fiduciary, trust, corporate and advisory services to high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs and institutional clients.
BPG will provide trust administration, corporate and private asset structuring, independent director services and family office support.
CEO Stuart Platt-Ransom said: “Our objective is straightforward – to build a long-term, independent business that prioritises stewardship, regulatory integrity and direct senior engagement.”
Mr Platt-Ransom brings 30 years’ finance industry experience to the role and was recognised as one of Private Client Practitioner’s ’50 Most Influential’ and Citywealth’s Leader’s List.
He is joined as co-founder by Advocate Alison Ozanne and Solicitor Kitt Hobbs, who have nearly 60 years’ legal experience between them.
Ms Ozanne previously founded AO Hall, which she sold to Walkers Global in 2016, leading their litigation team afterwards.
She is currently the only woman in the Channel Islands named in the Legal 500 IDR Hall of Fame.
Mr Hobbs has board-level experience across corporate governance, fiduciary operations and regulatory engagement.
He holds an MBA from Cambridge Judge Business School and a distinction in the IoD Diploma in Company Direction and has been named ‘Top 35 Under 35’ in both the Channel Islands and the UK.
The group is also introducing Barrule Mediation Services Limited, a unique offering which provides specialist mediation and arbitration services for commercial disputes, but with a focus on family wealth structures and trust-related matters.
