Guernsey’s Institute of Directors is hosting a free ‘Meet the Members’ event, so G8 members can meet the island’s newly elected deputies.
Members of the G8 associations are invited to attend the lunchtime session, sponsored by Skipton International, at the Duke of Richmond Hotel next Thursday, 26 June.
The G8 comprises the Chamber of Commerce, Guernsey International Business Association, Hospitality Association, Construction Forum, Institute of Directors, Guernsey Retail Group, Confederation of Guernsey Industry, and the Association of Guernsey Charities.
Glen Tonks, the Chair of IoD Guernsey, said it’s an opportunity for the States and the G8 to start working together.
“The IoD is looking forward to hosting this event for G8 association members and Deputies. We have committed to working collaboratively with the new States and hope this will be a positive session where the new deputies can talk to the associations and the people they represent.”
Mr Tonks continued: “The Voice of Business Insights report set out the expectations and hopes for this new term, and the G8 is keen to open discussions around the six policy areas identified in the survey.”
