Wetwheels Jersey first visited the island last year helping 60 people to have closer experiences of the sea. It has a specially adapted vessel that can carry up to 10 passengers including two wheelchair users.
Local charities are invited to reach out to Wetwheels to see if any of their clients could benefit for free from a trip out on the water, with the charity in the island between 16 and 21 June.
It’s also looking for a Guernsey-based representative to help promote the service and possibly extend it between the Bailiwicks in coming years.
Wetwheel is funded by Jersey residents, trusts, and companies and is committed to providing its services free of charge across both islands
While the trips are free at the point of use, it costs approximately £500 and to maintain the initiative and the charity is seeking support and donations from Guernsey. Contributions will help ensure that this annual extension of services remains free for years to come.
