KPMG has promoted Wayne Ferbrache to Director within its Advisory practice, in recognition of “his significant contribution to the firm’s Risk and Financial Crime advisory services and his leadership in helping clients navigate an increasingly complex risk and regulatory environment”.
Mr Ferbrache joined KPMG in 2021 and leads Financial Crime advisory services in Guernsey.
He advises a broad range of clients across the financial services sector on anti-money laundering, sanctions, fraud risk, regulatory compliance, governance and operational resilience matters, and has played a key role in the continued growth of KPMG’s Advisory practice, supporting major client relationships, developing service offerings and mentoring colleagues across the business.
Prior to joining KPMG, Mr Ferbrache held senior positions within both law enforcement and regulation, including roles with Guernsey Police and the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
Linda Johnson, Advisory Partner at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies, said the promotion was “thoroughly deserved” because of his breadth of experience, which provided him with a “unique perspective” on financial crime prevention, regulatory expectations, risk management and organisational effectiveness.
She added: “Throughout his career he has demonstrated exceptional integrity, sound judgement and an unwavering commitment to delivering positive outcomes for clients and colleagues.
“What sets Wayne apart is the breadth of perspective he brings, having worked as an investigator, regulator and adviser. This enables him to understand not only what regulations require, but why they exist, how they are interpreted by supervisors and how they can be implemented effectively within organisations.
“Wayne is highly regarded for his ability to build trusted relationships and translate complex regulatory, operational and governance challenges into practical, commercially focused solutions.
“He has made a significant contribution to the growth of our Advisory practice and is helping clients navigate the evolving intersection of risk, regulation, operations and technology. We are delighted to welcome him to the Director group.”
