Carys Thornton has joined Bedell Cristin’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team in Guernsey as an Associate.

Ms Thornton, who trained with Brabners LLP and qualified as an England and Wales Solicitor in 2024, graduated with a first-class BA Hons in History from King’s College London 2019 before choosing law as her career, where she completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2020, followed by the Legal Practice Course and Masters at the University of Law in 2021 gaining a distinction in both.

Bedell Cristin’s Guernsey Litigation and Dispute Resolution team is led by Partners Alasdair Davidson, Jon Barclay, and Robert Fullman, with lawyers from Junior Associate level through to Counsel working from the firm’s Guernsey and London offices.

”We are so pleased to welcome Carys to the team – she has already had some exposure to offshore litigation and joins us at a time of growth when we are seeing instructions increase across our key areas of trusts disputes, commercial litigation and insolvency,” said Mr Davidson.

”Carys’ arrival and the return of Harry King to the group, now that he has qualified through our Associate Training Programme, add to our capacity and bench strength at a time our global litigation practice is seeing a marked rise in activity across our offices and jurisdictions.”
