Bedell Cristin has appointed Alexander Hawkins as its new Head of International Private Client in Guernsey.
Mr Hawkins, who is recognised by Chambers High Net Worth and Legal 500, joins the firm to lead its local private client offering alongside its existing practices in Jersey, the Cayman Islands, and the BVI.
He’s been in private practice since 2015, with experience in Australia and Guernsey, and has been recognised as a Next Gen Leader by eprivateclient and listed in the Private Client Global Elite.
He’s completed his Guernsey law exams and is due to be sworn as a Guernsey Advocate shortly.
Nancy Chien, the Co-Global Managing Partner at Bedell Cristin and the firm’s head of International Private Client, said: “We are delighted to have Alexander join the firm and strengthen our Guernsey private client offering.
“His background both onshore and offshore, and his connections in the London, Switzerland and local market in Guernsey, make him the perfect person to spearhead our Guernsey practice.”
Alasdair Davidson, the Head of Bedell’s Guernsey office, added: “This is a very exciting development as we mark our 20th anniversary in the jurisdiction.
“We look forward to supporting Alexander to hit the ground running, particularly in the local market where we see so much opportunity.”
