Ms Le Page brings with her significant experience in the civil service and third sector, including time as Manager at Safer. She has also been actively involved with Equality Guernsey.

She will share her new position with Karen Blanchford, who will focus more on her Partnership role and the We All Matter, Eh? brand.

“This is an exciting time to be joining the GDA as the proposals are passed for the discrimination ordinance,” said Ms Le Page. “I am looking forward to working with our members, forthcoming deputies and the States focusing on areas of social policy that affect persons with disabilities.”

Ms Le Page joins a team of volunteers that include Dr Rob Harnish, Education representative Catherine Hall and Health representative Mike Read.

“We warmly welcome Carol to the team, bringing all her expertise and passion for equality,” said Mrs Blanchford of her new colleague. “With Carol focusing on Social Policy and practice I will be able to revert to the core focus on building partnerships to raise awareness and change attitudes.”
