Osiris Group has announced the launch of two new Guernsey businesses, after successfully applying for fiduciary licenses.

The Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC) has granted licensed for Osiris Management Guernsey and Osiris Trustees Guernsey.

A spokesperson hailed it as a “milestone” for the Group’s international growth, as Guernsey becomes its Channel Islands hub for financial and private wealth services.

Guernsey joins the firm’s other offices in Mauritius, the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands, giving its clients a greater choice of jurisdictions.

George Titan, CEO of Osiris Group, said: “The launch of our Guernsey business marks an important milestone in the continued growth of Osiris.”

Well-governed

Guernsey was “a jurisdiction our clients and intermediaries have been asking us about for some time”, and strengthened the firm’s “ability to offer genuine jurisdictional choice through a single, well-governed group”.

The Guernsey business will be led by an experienced team, combining local knowledge with those who are already part of Osiris, the spokesperson said.

Dan Bisson is an Executive Director, bringing 25-years’ of experience working in Guernsey. He has had senior positions at Nedbank International, RBC, Butterfield and Rothschild Trust.

Tim Walker has also been appointed as an Executive Director, joining the team from Osiris Corporate Solutions in Mauritius, where he was Head of Trust and Administration.

Jonny Gamble, also an Executive Director, joins after 30 years’ of experience in Guernsey’s financial services, with expertise in local governance and the local market.

Mr Titan said: “We are investing in Guernsey for the long term, and Dan, Tim and Jonny bring the right combination of local expertise and Group knowledge to build a business that reflects the standards and values of Osiris.”

The two Guernsey outfits will provide trustee services, trust administration, corporate administration, private client structuring, directorship and governance services, and family office support.

Mr Bisson said: “Guernsey has earned its reputation for governance and regulatory rigour, and those are the standards we intend to uphold from day one.

“Our focus is on disciplined client acceptance, robust oversight and delivering the long-term service that clients and intermediaries expect.”
