The decision was made by the supermarket.
Guernsey Post Chief Executive, Boley Smilie said the firm was “sorry that they have decided to close” after several years of operating the service.
Racheal Coleman, Manager at the Waitrose Branch, said declining demand and “close proximity to alternative postal services” was behind the decision.
“Customers will still be able to enjoy our hugely popular John Lewis Click and Collect service and we remain dedicated to providing our Guernsey Customers with outstanding food, drink, and service,” she added.
A Waitrose spokesperson said the decision would not impact on partners.
The Post Box outside the ship will remain open, but Lottery scratch cards will stop being sold at tills from May 15.
