The Bailiwick’s domestic abuse charity has received Leading Lights Accreditation by SafeLives, the UK’s foremost organisation dedicated to ending domestic abuse.
This milestone recognises Safer’s commitment to delivering high-quality support services and driving impactful change for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.
It is the first domestic abuse charity in the Channel Islands to receive accreditation, joining a network of organisations across the UK and beyond, working to create a world where domestic abuse is no longer tolerated.

Safer says achieving this accreditation is a reflection of the team’s ongoing dedication to improving the lives of those affected by domestic abuse.
“This accreditation is a significant achievement for Safer and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and supporters,” said Naomi, Safer Head of Service.
“We are committed to providing the highest quality services and creating safer environments for individuals and families. SafeLives Leading Lights Accreditation validates our efforts and inspires us to push even further in our mission.”
Fiona Naftel, chair of Safer, expressed her support as well.
“Achieving the SafeLives Leading Lights Accreditation is a testament to Safer’s unwavering commitment to supporting survivors and driving systemic change in our community. This recognition not only validates the exceptional work of our team but also strengthens our ability to advocate for and deliver even greater protection, education, and support for those affected by domestic abuse in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.”
