STEMettes, an award-winning social enterprise, runs workshops, events and learning experiences around Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) for young women across the UK and Ireland, and this is the first time it’s come to Guernsey.
Those behind it said their aim is to support and inspire the next generation of young women to work in STEM.
Students attending today will be set a brief to solve a real problem affecting Guernsey with judges from local technology firms Sure and C5 assessing and then announcing the winners.
30 young women from Ladies’ College, the College of Further Education and the Sixth Form Centre are taking part.
