A Guernsey based PR agency is offering students the chance to experience what its like to work for a creative company.
Black Vanilla’s annual work experience event will be held at the GTA University Centre from 14-16 July. It will offer Year 12 and 13 students and school leavers a whistle-stop tour of PR, social media, reputation management, media relations, event management and content creation.
Public Relations firms help brands tell their stories, share their messages, and build their reputations through a tailored mix of press releases, social media, internal comms, events and creative content.
Students will gain hands-on experience and hear from local media, event suppliers, and industry experts who will share insights into how these industries collaborate.
At the end of the three days, students will put their skills into practice by presenting their ideas to a panel of experts.
Chloe Chescoe, Senior Account Manager at Black Vanilla, said: “We really enjoy hosting this workshop each year and I look forward to meeting and supporting the next generation of PR and creative professionals. We have extended the content of this year’s event to give students a broader understanding of the industry and the career opportunities available. The event has sold out very quickly in previous years, so we encourage students to book early to secure their space.”
