Sure is due to finish the process of migrating Airtel customers to its own systems later today, with a promise that the move will give them “greater convenience”.

Top-ups have been temporarily unavailable since the process started on Sunday, but Sure said that all other services would continue as normal.

Following the migration, former Airtel customers will be able to use the MySure portal and app.

For Pay As You Go customers, Sure says you will continue to have access to Airtel’s popular £14.99 bundle “with minor adjustments”, and any outstanding credit will stay on these accounts.

Sure adds that customers will receive full details via SMS, email, social media, and on the dedicated webpage online HERE

They also state that “printed bill customers” will receive additional information included with their first Sure bill to explain the changes.

Simon Baldwin, the Chief Commercial Officer at Sure, said that the migration is the next step, “We’re delighted to welcome Airtel customers onto Sure’s systems and know they’ll benefit from the features and flexibility offered by MySure.

“We’ve communicated directly with every customer to ensure they have all the information they need to make the transition as smooth as possible.”

Mr Baldwin continued: “Our networks and services will remain unchanged for now, and we’ll continue to keep customers updated on future improvements, including moving onto Sure’s mobile network.”

When the merger was completed late last year, the telecoms company stated the £48 million investment will “pave the way for the development of a brand-new, world-class 5G mobile network”.
