Sure has finished the process of migrating Airtel customers to its own systems.
Simon Baldwin, chief commercial officer at Sure, said: “Sure is pleased to confirm that all Airtel customers have now been successfully migrated to Sure’s billing and account systems. This marks an important milestone in our £48 million investment to deliver a state-of-the-art 5G network, enhancing telecoms across the islands.
“(On Wednesday afternoon), a short service interruption of around an hour occurred due to a firewall issue. Our engineers resolved it quickly, and services are now fully restored.
“We apologise to any customers who were briefly affected.
“For FAQs on the migration, and guidance on topping up or managing accounts through MySure, please visit www.sure.com/airtel. If anyone is experiencing any issues they should call 01481 700700 or pop into our store for help.”
Following the migration, former Airtel customers will be able to use the MySure portal and app.
For Pay As You Go customers, Sure says you will continue to have access to Airtel’s popular £14.99 bundle “with minor adjustments”, and any outstanding credit will stay on these accounts.
Sure adds that customers will receive full details via SMS, email, social media, and on the dedicated webpage online HERE.
They also state that “printed bill customers” will receive additional information included with their first Sure bill to explain the changes.
