Boston has confirmed it has appointed a new Head of Compliance in Jersey.
Matthew Rawnsley-Gurd – who joined following the acquisition of Aqua Group in 2025 – previously served as Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Compliance Officer, and Money Laundering Reporting Officer within the Jersey team.
Mr Rawnsley-Gurd is a Certified Money Laundering Reporting Officer and holds a Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering from the International Compliance Association.
In his new role, he will continue to lead Boston’s financial crime prevention strategy, maintaining robust governance across regulatory compliance and AML/CFT/CPF frameworks.
“I am delighted to take on this new role at Boston and to continue working alongside such a talented and dedicated team,” Mr Rawnsley-Gurd said.
“Compliance plays a critical role in supporting our clients and protecting the integrity of the business, and I look forward to building on the strong foundations already in place as we continue to enhance our compliance framework.”
Paul Lawrence, Managing Director of Boston Jersey, added: “This promotion recognises Matthew’s outstanding contribution and dedication since joining Boston. He has consistently demonstrated deep technical expertise, strong leadership and a clear commitment to excellence. Matthew’s appointment further strengthens our compliance function and reflects our ongoing investment in talent across the business.”
