Offshore law firm Carey Olsen has announced that it has promoted a Jersey corporate and investment funds lawyer to the role of partner.
Arindam Madhuryya will step into the role from 1 January 2026.
Mr Madhuryya joined Carey Olsen in 2014, having previously worked at Slaughter and May in London. He has acted on several high-profile fund formation matters and advises fund managers on the entire lifecycle of a fund – from establishment and regulation to co-investments, portfolio acquisitions and financings.
Mr Madhuryya also regularly advises clients on other transactions such as manager and service provider establishment and relocation, investment joint ventures and corporate reorganisations.
He is a member of the Legal and Technical sub-committee of the Jersey Funds Association and is part of a number of key policy working groups.
“I am very excited to join the Carey Olsen partnership,” said Mr Madhuryya.
“Since joining the firm in 2014, I have seen the firm go from strength to strength and feel very fortunate to have been part of that journey. In particular, I am extremely proud of our Jersey investment funds team, which delivers market-leading legal and regulatory advice to our clients.
“I look forward to contributing to the continued success of our clients and the firm,” he added.
“Over the past decade, Arindam has built a thoroughly well-deserved reputation as one of Jersey’s preeminent funds lawyers,” James Mulholland, partner and co-head of the firm’s investment funds team in Jersey, said.
“He is knowledgeable, client-orientated and extremely hardworking, and we are delighted that Carey Olsen’s commitment to nurturing in-house talent has again supported an exceptional Jersey corporate lawyer to reach the top.”
