Ellen Hibbs, from Highvern, was recognised with a silver award after being shortlisted in the ‘Woman of the Year – Future Leaders – Senior associate’ category.

The accolade comes after she was listed in the Top 35 Under 35 Private Client Practitioners by ePrivateclient, joined Jersey’s #BuildBackBetter initiative and chairing Highvern’s newly formed ESG Committee.

“Ellen’s enthusiasm to make the industry a better place for clients and her colleagues alike has spread throughout Highvern, encouraging more of us to consider the wider implications of our business decisions,” Naomi Rive, Group Director and Head of Private Wealth, said.

“She has recently enjoyed a well-deserved promotion and I have no doubt that she will continue to succeed and inspire all those around her for many more years to come.”

Jersey’s largest independent provider of trust, corporate and fund administration solutions, VG, also saw one of its employees named.

Private Client Director Debbie Lumsden was awarded Bronze for ‘Woman of the Year – Leadership – Financial Organisation (Director)’.

Ms Lumsden joined VG in 2020 and is member of VG’s Senior Executive Group and a Main Board Director.

Iain Mason, Managing Director, commented: “Debbie’s recognition at these awards reflects the trust that her clients place in her ability to manage complex trust structures and family dynamics, alongside the regard in which her peers hold her commitment to developing a cohesive and caring culture at VG.

“Debbie consistently works to raising the profile of VG through her involvement in panel sessions with industry leaders, regular interaction with the media, crafting thought leadership on her specialism, the taxation of offshore trusts settled by non-UK domiciled clients.”
