The relay is now in its fourth year and is an integral part of the Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon which this year is raising funds for Brig-y-don Children’s Charity and Seeing is Believing.

The race gets underway at 9.30 am with runners passing through some of the Island’s most scenic country lanes, picturesque valleys and coastline and the organisers say it’s a great opportunity for people, however fit they are, to take participate in a big race atmosphere.

The relay is split into legs as follows:

  1. St Helier- from the start to Waterworks Valley (4.80 km)

  2. Go West- Waterworks Valley to St Ouen’s Village (9.60 km)

  3. How the West was run – St Ouen’s Village to Les Quennevais cycle track (11.20 km)

  4. The South Circular – Les Quennevais loop via Cornier (7.20 km)

  5. The Glory Leg – Les Quennevais Hockey Field to the finish line (9.20 km)


The Mourant Ozannes Relay race is predominantly made up of corporate teams and there are a number of industry cups up for grabs including the Bank, Law, Trust, Accountant, Hospitality and States of Jersey Cup.  

The first, second and third teams home in the male, female and mixed teams will also be awarded a trophy and all team members will get a goodie bag with a commemorative t-shirt and medal.
