Ms Kaplinsky, well known as a presenter of ITV news programmes, as well as a vast range of other network television programmes on BBC and Channel 5, will host the awards at Fort Regent on 13 June.
As well as news broadcasting, Ms Kaplinsky has co-hosted BBC Breakfast and Children in Need, and has presented the Proms and New Year Live. She also has the distinction of winning the first series of Strictly Come Dancing.
