Individuals and firms demonstrating “excellence and resilience” in the island’s construction industry were celebrated at the Jersey Construction Council Awards Gala last week.
The 20th anniversary event brought together professionals from across the sector to celebrate achievements in construction, design and sustainability.
Held at The Royal Jersey Showground, the awards were hosted by architect and television presenter George Clarke, who “underscored the importance of good design, sustainability, and community-driven building”.

The JeCC Lifetime Achiever Award was awarded posthumously to Bob Godel, in recognition of his “outstanding contribution, leadership and unwavering dedication to Jersey’s construction industry over many decades”.

The event also raised £10,000 for The Brick Foundation, JeCC’s charitable arm, which supports local community projects. The council shared that during 2026, the foundation will provide disabled fishing platforms for the JFAA at Simon Sands ponds.
“This year’s awards were not only a celebration of technical excellence and sustainability but also a testament to the collaboration and dedication that underpin Jersey’s construction industry,” said JeCC Awards Chair, David Morris.
“We were honoured to welcome George Clarke, whose passion for people and places truly resonated with our members. The funds raised for The Brick Foundation will have a lasting impact on future talent and community projects.”
