JP Restaurants is celebrating a “remarkable milestone” as the restaurant and café group marks eight decades since the opening of the business from which it first grew.
Founded in 1946, Jersey Pottery welcomed generations of residents and visitors and lay the foundations for what would become JP Restaurants.
While its roots were in pottery and ceramics, hospitality became an increasingly
important part of the business.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey over the decades, including our past and present teams, our loyal customers and our many partners across the island

Today, it operates a collection of restaurants and cafés, including Jersey Crab Shack and Oyster Box at St Brelade’s Bay, alongside its latest venture, Beresford House in St Helier.
Managing director Robert Jones described 80 years as “a remarkable milestone” that “gives us a wonderful opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come”.
He said: “From our beginnings at Jersey Pottery to the restaurants and cafés we operate today, our story has always been about bringing people together and creating places where memories are made.”

Mr Jones continued: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey over the decades, including our past and present teams, our loyal customers and our many partners across the island.
“Their contribution has helped shape the business we are today.”
The anniversary will be marked with a celebration at Beresford House on 30 November.
Additionally, former employees, customers and anyone with a connection to the business are encouraged to share photographs, stories and memories about Jersey Pottery and JP Restaurants by emailing info@jprestaurants.com
These may be featured on JP Restaurants’ social media channels and website as part of the anniversary celebrations.
Five £80 JP Restaurants gift cards will be awarded for the group’s favourite submissions.
Mr Jones added: “As we look to the future, with Beresford House marking an exciting new chapter for JP Restaurants, we’d love to hear the stories and memories that others hold dear.
“This anniversary is not just about our history, but about the people who have made it what it is.”
