Annabel Berry, Chief Executive Officer of Sapphire and Dr Christopher Richardson, Founder of Digital Smart Solutions, will be the headline speakers for the Channel Islands Information Security Forum (CIISF)’s event on 19 September.
Ms Berry, who has over 20 years’ experience in cybersecurity and was included in CRN’s 2018 A-List, will address steps to effectively communicate the risk and business impact in a language the board will understand.

Dr Richardson, who is currently working on a global platform aiming to disrupt the higher education and professional development market, will be sharing his views on how we can understand and robustly keep our computer systems in a good state given the nature of the current constantly interconnected world.
They will be joined by Dr Sam De Silva, a lawyer specialising in strategic IT and telecommunication projects who also advises on data protection, privacy and cyber security issues.
Several topics will be covered throughout the conference, including board responsibilities in the governance of cyber security risks as expected by the JFSC, an update on the Government of Jersey’s Cyber Security Strategy, digital intelligence investigations, third party risk, human behaviours and prevention of data breaches.
“We have brought together a group of speakers who are bona fide experts and thought leaders in their fields for this event, covering a wide range of topics that will guarantee a rich learning experience for everyone regardless of professional backgrounds,” CIISF said.
“We have everything for everyone. We have carefully curated the topics and speakers that will inspire, challenge and help us raise the bar on our aptitude to competently protect ourselves from cyber security threats.”
