Having successfully completed his qualifications locally, Advocate Chinniah studied law at the College of Law, Bristol and holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University.
Advocate Chinniah has undertaken placements at a number of firms in Jersey and the UK, and joined Mourant Ozannes in 2012.
His main expertise is in investment funds, where he has been involved in a number of high profile matters.
During 2015, the significant transactions for Advocate Chinniah included advising on a £175m acquisition of an 80% stake in Uxbridge Shopping Centre, and Jersey and Guernsey advice to Henderson Global Investors in relation to a $22.6bn joint venture with North American asset manager Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association – College Retirement Equities Fund.
