Subject to regulatory approval, Charles Molteno will be taking on the role of Chief Executive of Standard Bank Jersey, taking responsibility for overseeing and coordinating all activities in the island from Will Thorpe, who retains the pan-island position of Chief Executive of Standard Bank International.

Mr Molteno joined Standard Bank after working in banking in Lagos and South Africa. He currently holds the position of Head of Risk for Wealth International.

The new Chief Executive commented following his appointment: “There are many developments on the horizon for the Financial Services sector, both in Jersey and globally.
