It has been built to include the rebranding the National Scout Organisation has undergone, highlighting how the Scouts are “fun, have a keen sense of adventure and are still very relevant today”.

Parents can use the website the find out which section their children can attend, locate their nearest group with a map feature, and understand the programme of activities each unit organises.

Each of the sections for different age ranges also have their own page: the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

The new website.

Bailiwick Scout Commissioner, Nick Paluch, said: “The new look includes our more modern logo in addition to hashtags and straplines which emphasise the Scout’s focus on building skills for life and enjoying the outdoors.

“We are very pleased with the vibrant new design of the website which makes it much easier to search for practical information about our different groups, the scout shop and contact details but also provides  information about the activities, camps and trips that are part and parcel of the scouting experience. The website is our shop window, showcasing how we provide adventures, enjoyment and a sense  of belonging to children right across the island.”

Volunteers, Mr Paluch added, are essential to the running of the Scouts and anyone who would like to volunteer can use the website to view opportunities or contact the scouts to offer to help. Volunteering can be sharing skills with a group, planning a one-off session or being involved with committee; all volunteers make a difference to young people’s lives and the website makes it easy to get involved.

The website has been redesigned by local design agency, Rock and Small, and built by Enrapture.
