An IQ-EQ employee of over 20 years has been announced as the firm’s new Head of Private Wealth for Jersey.
Dean Douglas has been promoted from his previous role as Client Relationship Director.
Mr Douglas joined as a newly qualified accountant in 2002 for one of the legacy businesses which now make up IQ-EQ Jersey.
Over his two-decade career at the firm, he gained “significant exposure” to private wealth structuring, having taken on several senior roles and growing teams across client accounting and administration departments.
The firm said that in his most recent Client Relationship Director role, Mr Douglas played a “huge part in nurturing new and existing relationships with key clients”, particularly in South Africa where his regular travel and “deep market understanding” had “strengthened business development initiatives”.
As Head of Private Wealth for Jersey, Mr Douglas will be responsible for IQ-EQ’s 85 private wealth specialists in the island and will join the global leadership team of IQ-EQ’s Private and Institutional Asset Owners service segment.
He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Nicola Gott, Managing Director of IQ-EQ Jersey, said: “It gives me great pleasure to announce Dean as our new Head of Private Wealth.
“He’s been a key part of our business for more than 20 years and his exceptional knowledge and experience make him ideally suited to this important jurisdictional leadership position as we continue to develop our private wealth business in Jersey.
“I look forward to working more closely with him as we progress through 2025.”
