Claire Boscq-Scott is setting up “The Hive” to provide an interactive networking platform for local businesses to improve their customer services and increase their network.

Mrs Boscq-Scott says it is aimed at small businesses and sole traders, and will enable them to access local business-related information, network, share opinions, promote local business related events, help each other to be prosperous, and develop a powerful community spirit.

The Hive is intended to provide its members a variety of functions including members special offers, government surveys and information, trade tips and tricks, training opportunities, tribe building and networking events.

She said: “The Island is so small, we need to be able to help each other, especially when you are a small business or a sole trader, you don’t necessary have all the answers so the forum will be an excellent way for small business to find information about local events, help them with decision making, and meeting an opportunity to meet with other businesses, share ideas and help each other. The Hive will not just have benefits for individual businesses but on a bigger picture for the whole of the Island, if local businesses thrive, so will the Island’s economy”.
