Under Prosperity 24/7’s plans, the mezzanine first floor will house its tech and business solutions team, while the ground floor will offer a space for the local business community to meet, work and collaborate.

It will include board rooms and a conference area able to host events for up to 100 people, and a space managed by a yet-to-be-decided hospitality company where individuals can have a coffee or glass of wine during or after the working day.

Prosperity 24/7 will relocate its head office from Commercial Street when work on the new facility is complete in 2022.

CEO Chris Clark said stakeholders across the business community had “indicated their support for this investment to create a world-class venue.”

He added: “We are really excited to be able to do more to invest in our community and create a fantastic facility for them as well as our colleagues and clients.

“By putting life back into an empty unused building in a key waterfront location and encouraging diversity in our local economy, we believe it truly symbolises Prosperity’s ethos of looking after clients, colleagues and community so we can all prosper.”
