Denise Heavey has joined GR8 to lead its new service dedicated to helping businesses who need permanent solutions for staff at short notice, or who are looking for reliable and experienced people prepared to work flexible hours, with possible job sharing.

Ms Heavey, who holds a higher level degree from the Institute of Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism, was the General Manager at the Jersey Arts Centre for nearly ten years and has also previously worked in a number of Jersey businesses.

She is also passionate about improving mental health and has signed up as a Peer Support Worker at Mind Jersey as part of their mental health support team.

“We take the mental health of the people we work with very seriously and I am delighted to welcome Denise onto our recruitment team,” Lee Madden, Managing Director of GR8, said.

“Denise brings her knowledge and empathy with her into GR8 and that will greatly help us strengthen our emphasis on mental health care and wellbeing for candidates in work. As a working mum, Denise is a strong advocate for the benefits that flexible working brings to both employers and staff having struggled herself with finding the right balance before working at GR8 recruitment.

“We are happy to provide the flexibility Denise needs to be both a highly productive member of the team, and a hands-on mum, and that fits with our aim to provide flexible solutions to empower others into employment and find them the role that suits their lifestyle.”
