Offshore law firm Baker & Partners has welcomed Senior Associate Vicky Olivier to its Jersey team.
Ms Olivier brings multi-jurisdictional complex trusts, civil and commercial disputes expertise to the team.
As an Advocate of the High Court in South Africa and barrister in England and Wales with Lincoln’s Inn (currently non practicing), she has more than a decade’s experience in high value commercial and civil disputes acting for corporations, individuals and as an internationally qualified mediator and arbitrator. She relocated to the Channel Islands in 2022.
The firm said Ms Olivier has established herself as a “results-driven, client focused lawyer”, closely working with law firms and counsel both in the UK and internationally.
She often acts on behalf of protectors, trustees and beneficiaries in complex multi-jurisdictional international trust litigation, involving trust restructuring, allegations of breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and mismanagement and various other administrative actions.

Ms Olivier’s joins fellow newly appointed team member Georgina Farley. Ms Farley joined as an Associate in June from the Law Officers’ Department and will assist with the firm’s established practice acting for the prosecution and the defence in matters of serious crime.
“Vicky and Georgina’s appointments are as a result of our steady growth in multi-jurisdictional dispute caseload including complex trusts and commercial and civil litigation,” said Managing Partner, Stephen Baker. “I am delighted that the team continues to develop to meet our client’s increasing needs.”
Ms Olivier added: “Jersey continues to evolve and lead in the financial and legal services landscape and I’m delighted to have joined such a dynamic firm who are focused on continued multi-jurisdictional growth to meet their client’s needs.
“I look forward to contributing meaningfully to the firm’s continued success and advancing my career in an environment that values growth, collaboration and impact.”
