The pop up restaurant, supported by Genuine Jersey and featuring Cordon Bleu trained chef, India Hamilton, will be open at La Haule Farm throughout the festival until Sunday 28 September.

Nina Hervé, from Branchage, said: “This is a fantastic example of the community spirit inherent within the festival. The State Street crew were encouraged to use their practical and creative skills to help both with the building of the restaurant and with the look and layout, the decoration and dressing. It fits with the overall ethos of the programme in that we want people to engage in projects and participate directly rather than only be spectators.”

Mike Newton, Managing Director of State Street in Jersey, said it was a thoroughly exhilarating project for the 24 staff members to take part in.

He said: “Our team was able to deploy skills in order to tackle the creation of the pop up restaurant from scratch and add individual creative ideas to the final appearance. In taking part in this project, they were faced with tasks that are not normally part of their working day and still appreciated the value of teamwork. It was an immensely popular activity which fits in well with our community goals and we are delighted to be playing a significant role in this exciting festival event.”
