In Jersey, 25 volunteers from State Street spent three days working at Jersey Zoo last April refurbishing the central building ‘First Impressions’ within the Andean Bear enclosure.
Paul Mundy, Head of the Channel Islands, State Street, said: “The Corporate Responsibility report for 2017 is a great tool to evaluate how far we’ve come with our objectives and to set new goals for the future to better improve our commitments to corporate citizenship and the environment.
“Colleagues in the Channel Islands dedicated 892 hours of volunteer work and raised $22,500 (over £16,600) for charitable causes last year which really reflects our empathy and commitment towards our own corporate citizenship goals. The causes we supported are ones that are close to our own employees’ hearts, like supporting the Guernsey Botanical Trust and Jersey Zoo, where, for example, we devoted hours of manual labour helping to refurbish the First Impressions building.”
