A global professional services provider and the custody and settlement services arm of a financial services firm have announced a strategic partnership.

Under the agreement, Winterflood Business Services (WBS) will be able to provide JTC customers with institutional-grade technology and infrastructure which will enhance and modernise international custody solutions.

WBS will provide its global custody and execution services across JTC’s clients, via a platform designed specifically for professional services businesses. The custody and settlement business has established a dedicated Jersey-based team with JTC becoming their first major client in the jurisdiction.

Marina Buckley, CEO of Winterflood Jersey, will lead the operation supported by specialists in dealing, operations, compliance and relationship management. The custody and execution services provided by the partnership will operate under JTC’s established oversight and governance framework.

Commenting on the launch, Ms Buckley said: “We are incredibly excited to be partnering with JTC as we extend our footprint into the Channel Islands.

“This step demonstrates our commitment to providing clients with the best possible combination of technology, expertise and service. Establishing a local presence reinforces our focus on helping firms operate efficiently in an increasingly complex regulatory and investment landscape.”

Paul Fosse, group director and group head of Banking, Treasury, and Investments at JTC, added: “At JTC, we continuously innovate to deliver outstanding service and value to our clients. Together with Winterflood, we’re setting a new standard for custody services.

“The partnership allows us to offer a personalised, technology-focused custody solution that provides clients with a transparent and efficient digital experience. We look forward to delivering these benefits to even more clients across our global platform.”
