The Chief Operating Officer of the island’s competition watchdog has achieved Chartered Director Status from the Institute of Directors.

Sarah Price joined the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority (JCRA) in October 2014, serving as Company Secretary before her promotion to COO in April 2023.

She has since been involved in major organisational developments and contributed to critical regulation and compliance programmes. She is also Vice-Chair of IoD Jersey.

The organisation said she has played a “central role” in steering JCRA’s strategic initiatives across competition, ports, postal and telecommunications sectors.

In attaining Chartered Director status, Ms Price has demonstrated “exceptional governance standards, leadership acumen and commitment to board excellence”, it added.

Tim Ringsdore, Chief Executive of the JCRA, said: “We want to congratulate Sarah on this achievement, which highlights her deep professionalism and governance expertise – vital as we continue to deliver effective regulation for Jersey’s consumers and businesses.”

“Becoming a Chartered Director is a significant personal milestone and a testament to the JCRA team’s ongoing commitment to high standards and good governance in Jersey,” Ms Price added.
