With under 100 days to go until Christmas, Aurigny has announced more than 2,000 additional seats on key UK routes to support the busiest travel period of the year.
Demand for the 2025 festive period is proving strong, with bookings almost 30 per cent ahead of the year prior. To ensure islanders do not miss out on the chance to reunite with loved ones, Aurigny has worked closely with its airport partners to secure some valuable extra slots, increasing services across London Gatwick, Birmingham, and London City.
Between 20 December and 3 January, an additional 1,138 seats will be available to and from London Gatwick. Services to Birmingham will see an extra 864 seats added between 13 December and 3 January, with additional flights operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Aurigny will also operate an extra service to London City on Friday, 26 December.
A company spokesperson said: “It is fast approaching that time of year again, and we understand the importance of families and loved ones being together over the festive period. Last year, we experienced high demand for our services, resulting in many full flights; this year looks even stronger. Furthermore, our scheduling team has been working hard to offer more availability and choice, and I’m pleased to say they have been successful in securing these additional slots for our community”
