The Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts will be filled by the smell of rebellion when Blanchelande College presents Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR.

The show is based on the book ‘Matilda’ by Roald Dahl and adapted from the award-winning full-length musical, Matilda The Musical JR. It tells the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

Head of Drama and the show’s director, Ms Justine Vlad said: “We chose this show because it’s a perfect fit for our school ethos – it celebrates courage, imagination and kindness, reflecting Blanchelande College’s values of joy in learning and joy in service. My favourite song is ‘When I Grow Up’, as it is so innocent and full of promise. It makes me envisage our cast and crew as the adults they’ll one day become, and it gets me thinking about the bright futures ahead of them!”
