Concrete specialists have been conducting an annual condition survey of the Castle Cornet Bridge this week.
McFarland Consulting arrived on Monday with their specialist underbridge unit for a routine yearly inspection of the bridge.
This includes a visual inspection, hammer rap survey and strain sensor maintenance on each span of the main bridge, as well as the single span approach bridge to Castle Cornet.
Public access across the bridge is expected to be maintained throughout the week, however pedestrians are advised to follow any signage and safety notices that are in place at the time.
Work on the reconstruction of the Castle Cornet Bridge remains on schedule to commence in autumn/winter of 2026.
