Trading Standards are reiterating a product recall that has been issued in the UK for four different Air Fryer products, which have a defect and could pose a fire risk.
Air Fryer manufacturer, ‘Tower’, have become aware that a small number of their Air Fryers, manufactured between January 2022 – April 2023, have a defect which may result in overheating that under certain circumstances could pose a risk of fire.
The company decided to voluntarily recall these models as a precautionary measure. The Air Fryer models affected by the recall are:
- T17023 Tower 2.2Ltr Manual Air Fryer
- T17061BLK Tower 4Ltr Manual Air Fryer
- T17067 Tower 4Ltr Digital Air Fryer
- T17087 Tower 2Ltr Compact Manual Air Fryer
Please note this recall only applies to air fryers made by Tower.
If you own a Tower air fryer, it is advised to cease use and check whether you own one of the affected Air Fryer models. You can check this by accessing the model number on the appliance rating label.
