We are delighted that we shall shortly welcome celebrity Floral Designer, Mig Kimpton,
from the UK.
Mig has spent over 30 years working in the theatre and managed international tours for several stars including Sir Ian McKellen. He has been the producer for many charity galas including Stonewall Equality Shows at the Royal Albert Hall and most famously, ‘Storm in a Flower Vase’ based on the life of Constance Spry at the Art Theatre. Mig has also had a life long passion and career with flowers and has won many awards including 12 medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. He is horticultural advisor and Creative manager for Aztec Flower Shows which includes Blenheim Palace Flower Show and the National Flower Show at Hylands House, Chelmsford. He now is based at Beacon Hill Cottage in Deal Kent from which he runs a prestigious floristry business and holds popular workshops and garden tours.
Come and see him in action on the evening of Wednesday 6th April at Les Cotils for a floral demonstration entitled ‘In Someone Else’s Potting Shed’ Mig with his larger than life character promises a fragrant floral demonstration as he makes his Guernsey debut. He will bring his talent, expertise and know-how as he presents a demonstration with containers provided from the sheds, garages and cupboards of Islanders. With his charm, stories and wonderful talent, appreciate his classic style with a modern twist. This is a demonstration not to be missed. Enjoy the workshop with the forever popular Mig, creating two designs showcasing an array of seasonal spring flowers in a modern and creative way, using Mondrian’s great paintings as a starting point. This workshop is designed to extend your creativity and ignite your imagination as you engage with this iconic artist. It is suitable for all levels of ability The cost of £40 includes all materials and attendees will take home 2 gorgeous floral designs.
