Highlands College will host a Peer Review from 11–13 March 2026 in partnership with colleagues from University College Isle of Man (UCM) and The Guernsey Institute (TGI).
The review process sees experienced staff from partner colleges visit to evaluate key aspects of education provision, share good practice, and provide constructive feedback.
During the visit, reviewers will explore how effectively Highlands College:
- Delivers high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
- Prepares learners for their next steps, including further study, apprenticeships, or
employment.
The Peer Review programme operates on a rotating basis between Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man. Since it began before the pandemic, the partner institutions – which share many similarities – have completed multiple reviews across the three jurisdictions.
Jo Terry-Marchant, Highlands College Principal says: “We’re looking forward to welcoming the teams from the Isle of Man and Guernsey to Jersey to conduct the review with us this year.
“The review, which last took place in Jersey three years ago, is an important part of our quality-assurance process, helping us to identify what we’re excelling at and where we can continue to develop.
“It’s important we have a robust, fair and objective processes to ensure we are giving our students the best service possible.
“Highlands College looks forward to using the outcomes of the March Peer Review to continue strengthening its provision and enhancing opportunities for learners across the Island.”
